Environmental Forensics and Geochemistry Consulting, Litigation Support and Expert Witness Testimony. Specialties: petroleum hydrocarbon analysis, gas geochemistry, biomarkers, PNA's, PCB's, oxygenates, fuel ID, mixing ratios, age dating, metal analysis by ICP/MS, inorganic and wet chemistry, stable isotope analysis, hydrology, geothermal analytical. We have developed or modified analyses that allow us to:
* identify the types of product which have been released
* distinguish between similar products from different sources
* estimate the mixing ratios of different products
* estimate the age of the product
* assign probable responsibility for sources of the contamination
* give expert witness testimony
* represent either plaintiffs or defendants in litigation
Expert Witness: Dr. Isaac R. Kaplan, Senior Consultant, is Professor Emeritus of Geology and Geochemistry at UCLA (retired 1993). Founder of Global Geochemistry Corporation in 1975. Dr. Kaplan has served as an Expert Witness in numerous environmental litigation cases nationwide. He is currently under contract to the US Geologic Survey and the DOD. Laboratory: Dr. Kaplan is supported by ZymaX Forensics and envirotechnology's environmental and geochemical laboratories, with a staff of approximately 50 laboratory personnel: 5 Ph D's, 5 MS's, 17 BS's. 35 employees with degrees in chemistry, biology, other science or the arts.
